London Equine Hospital

The London Equine Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Bernd Kretzschmar. Following obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree, he went on to specialize in Surgery by completing an Internship in Large Animal Surgery, Medicine and Reproduction, followed by a Large Animal Surgery Residency. Dr. Kretzschmar has been involved with Surgery since 1992.

Dr. Kretzschmar has performed research to develop a new techniques for repairing broken bones in new born animals. His particular interest is in bone/joint related problems in race and performance horses in addition to Respiratory Surgery. Dr. Kretzschmar has performed thousands of surgical procedures at the London Equine Hospital on horses from Ontario, Michigan, Ney York and Quebec.

In addition he has been involved in presenting Continuing Education seminars for Veterinarians & Clients at conferences such as the AAEP, OVMA & others.
